Barry Cooper b. 1949

Born Essex. He studied with Kenneth Leighton at University College, Oxford. He spent many years lecturing in music at Aberdeen University - his current position is in the Music Department of Manchester University. His works include an oratorio, songs and chamber music including many organ compositions. One work completed during his time in Scotland was a realisation of the first movement of Beethoven's Tenth Symphony.
