Shaun Dillon was born in Sutton Coldfield, 1944, but brought up in Edinburgh and Berwickshire. After studies in Glasgow at the RSAMD and in London at the Guildhall School (composition with Edmund Rubbra) moved back to Scotland, composing, oboe-playing and teaching Edinburgh then in Aberdeen. Published compositions include Suite of Airs and Graces for Strings (Stainer and Bell).
